It’s a sad time for the world’s rocking community and for the wider world of contemporary music. The last great original, Jerry Lee Lewis, has left us, and with his passing, the last of the rock’n’roll icons from the first wave of raucous, parent- and authority-shaking musical rabble-rousers has gone. Tribute is paid in the pages of this magazine, but not just in the obituary and reminiscences of his recorded output, but in chronicling the new bands and artists who continue to fly the flag originally hoisted by Jerry Lee and his band of rockin’ brothers and sisters.
