Sad to report the passing of Jerry Allison this month, another of the few remaining originals to leave us. The impression I got way back in 2009 before I took over editorship (yes its 14 years this issue folks!) Was that rock’n’roll was slowly dying, and of course the pioneers who are still with us are in the autumn of their years. But, I’m pleased to say that I was wrong, and new blood seems to be injected into the rockin’ scene at regular intervals. One such is Dylan Kirk, who is rippin’ it up the length and breadth of the UK at present with his band The Killers. He’s this month’s cover artiste and there’s a review of his gig in Chesterfied elsewhere in the magazine.Look out for Dylan at an event near you and lets celebrate new blood on the rockin’ scene!
