Every now and then things don’t go quite to plan with the compilation of this magazine, and that’s not unique to this title, it happens all over. This issue was one such, when what started as a ‘big’ feature on a ‘big’ name suddenly became nothing of the sort. Empty pages don’t look good in ‘proper’ (print) magazines, but there’s always a silver lining just over the horizon. And I was delighted to be able to ask Clare Josephine to share her review of the Belfast Rockabilly Alldayer, describing what sounds like a really fun, and in these days of division, inclusive event with all rock’n’roll’s subcultures rubbing shoulders happily as the bands and DJs did their thing. Ireland is a welcome addition to the scope of the magazine and we hope to hear more in the near future.

Reports from the venues featured in this month’s magazine suggest that there is an audience out there to fill venues if the event looks attractive – witness elsewhere in this issue the Jets gig promoted by the ambitious Shed Events in Bristol, one of a number of set-piece events these promoters have lined up over the next year or so.
